CRM and Pipeline FAQ¶
Frequently asked questions about opportunities, stages, lost reasons, win probabilities, and team assignment in CURQ 18.
1. What is the difference between an unscrubbed Lead and an Opportunity?¶
A Lead is an unverified incoming contact (such as a business card or website inquiry) that has not yet been qualified. An Opportunity is a verified commercial prospect with a defined deal value, sales stage, and estimated closing date.
2. What happens when an opportunity is marked as Lost?¶
The opportunity probability drops to 0%, a red Lost ribbon attaches to the record, and the card archives from active Kanban views while recording the selected reason and closing note in the chatter.
3. Can an archived or lost opportunity be restored if a prospect calls back?¶
Yes. Open CRM > Sales > My Pipeline, click the search bar, select the Lost filter, open the archived deal, and click the Restore button in the top action bar to return it to active stages.
4. Can I override the automatic win probability percentage?¶
Yes. Click directly into the Probability field on any opportunity and enter a custom percentage. A small gear icon appears next to the field, allowing you to reset back to the automated system calculation whenever desired.
5. Why does an opportunity created by a coworker not appear in My Pipeline?¶
The default pipeline view applies a My Pipeline filter that displays only deals assigned to your user account. Remove the My Pipeline filter in the search bar or filter by Sales Team to view deals managed by other colleagues.
